A major Iranian iron ore producer is considering inaugurating its new direct reduced iron (DRI) plant within the next few days, news learned from IRNA(Islamic Republic News Agency), which
quoted Chadormalu Mining & Industrial Co.(CMIC) Managing Director Mahmoud Nourian.
The new plant's capacity is 1.55 million mt/year, making it one of the largest DRI plants in the country, according to Nourian.
The company is also planning to increase its pellet-making capacity from the current rate of 3.7 million mt/year to 4 million mt/year to supply increasing domestic demand for the raw material.
