| Asia-Pacific Panamax freight unchanged amid thin activity |
Asia-Pacific Panamax freight rates were predominantly unchanged May 25, amid continued thin activity on the day.
Sources indicated that the market remained weak on the day and there was an absence of improvement in the activity. “Seems nothing has really changed,” a ship-operator source said.
Meanwhile, forward freight agreement rates were flat to slightly lower for May and June dates during Asian trading hours, and failed to provide a clear direction of the market in the short run.
